Alexandra is passionate about helping people reclaim agency and dignity while making space for the complexity of being human, finding joy and connection alongside the grief, uncertainty and struggle.
Meet Alexandra Woollacott
She supports adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, substance use disorders, life changes and the effects of traumatic experiences. She offers a safe, trusting, thoughtful and sometimes playful space where clients do not have to navigate challenges alone.
Alexandra works relationally and psychodynamically, understanding that therapy is not a one-size-fits all approach but is a collaborative process in which therapist and client develop a shared understanding of what they are experiencing and what might help them move towards a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
She explores not only the difficulties or symptoms they are experiencing now, but looks at patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving over time and at the roots of these challenges. She brings evidence-based therapeutic approaches that move treatment towards a deeper understanding of each person’s experience, creating opportunities to relate differently to themselves, others, and the life challenges they face.
